Monthly Virtues and Resolutions

To focus our discipleship efforts, Mission Cleveland has developed virtues and resolutions for each month of the year. These virtues and resolutions are reinforced through weekly liturgy in our worship services as well as the weekly devotionals contained in this book.

Virtue: Diligence
Resolution: I choose to work as until the Lord in all areas of my life.

February
Virtue: Love
Resolution: I choose to love God with my whole being and my neighbor as myself, especially my enemy.

March
Virtue: Courage
Resolution: I choose to live boldly with a spirit of power, love, and a sound mind in spite of fear.

April
Virtue: Hope
Resolution: I choose to hope in God’s promise that all broken things will be made new.

May
Virtue: Remembrance
Resolution: I choose to learn from the rich history of the Church and the mystery of faith to hold me close to Christ.

June
Virtue: Intentionality
Resolution: I choose to be mindful and responsive to God’s presence and the needs of others.

July
Virtue: Devotion
Resolution: I choose to practice spiritual disciplines to nurture my relationship with Christ.

August
Virtue: Wisdom
Resolution: I choose to seek the mind of Christ and discern the appropriate response.

September
Virtue: Shalom
Resolution: I choose to pursue the flourishing of myself, my community, and the world.

October
Virtue: Creativity
Resolution: I choose to reveal the beauty of God according to my strengths and gifts.

Resolution: I choose to journey with other believers to participate in the mission of God.
